On Feb. 3, the PebbleCreek Billiards Club (PCBC) made the trip to the Kiva Club in Trilogy at Vistancia, Peoria, Ariz., for another thrilling inter-club showdown against the Trilogy Billiards Club. With seven players from PebbleCreek facing nine from Trilogy, the matches unfolded on three pristine 9-foot Brunswick tables topped with fast cloth that demanded precision shot-making and smart position play.
Trilogy came in hungry for revenge after dropping the previous two encounters, but PCBC proved unstoppable once again.
The format featured four doubles matches with rotating partnerships:
* Traditional 8-ball (race to 8): PCBC started strong and never looked back, claiming an 8–1 victory.
* Trilogy’s “1-15” 8-ball variation (the 1 and 15 balls racked behind the 8-ball and required to be pocketed in opposite side pockets; race to 8): Trilogy jumped out to a commanding 5–0 lead, but PCBC mounted an impressive comeback, reeling off eight straight games to steal the match 8–5.
• Traditional 10-ball (race to 10): Trilogy regrouped and built a daunting 7–1 advantage. PCBC fought back fiercely, winning six of the next seven to close within one at 8–7, but Trilogy held firm to take the final two games and win 10–8.
* Traditional 8-ball (time-permitting closer): PCBC turned up the heat once more, cruising to a dominant 9–2 triumph.
Across 50 individual games, PebbleCreek emerged victorious in 32, while Trilogy took 18—delivering a decisive overall win for the visitors.
Players from both sides raved about the warm hospitality and superb table conditions at the Kiva Club. The friendly rivalry shows no signs of slowing down, with everyone eager for a rematch.
