PC Republican Club Hosts Special Speaker and Education Series

Back by popular demand! Larry Schweikart will be speaking at The PebbleCreek Republican Club meeting on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. This is an afternoon outdoor meeting and will be held at the amphitheater in the Bullard Wash Park, located behind the Staples store at PebbleCreek Parkway and McDowell Road. The venue is a grassy venue with concrete seating. We recommend that attendees bring blankets or pillows for the concrete seating or their own chairs and water bottles. Please park in the Staples parking lot.

Larry Schweikart is an American historian and retired professor of history at the University of Dayton and has authored numerous scholarly publications. He has written several popular books including A Patriot’s History of the United States, America’s Victories, Regan: The American President. He will have books for sale and will remain after speaking to autograph them for our members. Books can be purchased using checks and cash.

The PC Republican Club is excited to announce that, via Zoom, Nicholas Damask (Professor Nick) will present the 2020 Fall Lecture Series: American Politics and Current Affairs. Professor Nick received his MA in International Relations from The American University in Washington D.C., and his BA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati, where he concentrated in American Political Thought and Contemporary Political Violence. He was a Salvatori Fellow at The Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C. Dr. Damask has published numerous articles in academic journals, The Washington Times, World & I magazine, and in local newspapers. He also enjoys science fiction and fantasy and is the author of the St. James Press’ Encyclopedia of Popular Culture entry for “Star Wars.”

The series consists of five lectures focusing on the presidential campaign and the results of the 2020 election. Lectures will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 21, 28, and Nov. 4 and 11.
