Crumb Quilt class students
Cynthia Schwartz
After quilters finish a quilt, they usually have lots of leftover scraps of fabric called crumbs. Some crumbs are so small that many quilters simply throw them out. Marka Locker, a member of thePebbleCreek Quilters Club, says, “Don’t throw out those crumbs. Create a Crumb Quilt.”
Marka invited PC Quilters to sign up for her class: “Why Crumb Quilt?”
She says, “Are you a little scrappy? Scrappy makes me happy! I can absolutely not care about what color comes next and sometimes I challenge myself to do just that and reach blindly. You can be wonderfully monochromatic! If you still want to be a little ‘fussy,’ then you can have a crumb starter that has been fussy cut. Why not play with some crumbs?”
The Crumb Quilt class is one of the numerous classes offered by the PebbleCreek Quilting Club.
