Quilters, sewists, and other persons who enjoy creative arts are known for giving their creations to others for their enjoyment and need. Whether it is a hand knitted sweater to keep someone warm in the winter, a quilt to either use on a bed or decorate a wall, a sculpture to adorn a mantle, a pen-and-ink drawing for a wall, or a wood carved piece that has meaning, creating is a large part of their life. The PebbleCreek Quilters are no different, as they find purpose and meaning in providing for others in need. The PebbleCreek Quilters gather on the third Saturday of the month to sew and create for others.

The quilters met in September to create small bags that will contain toiletries and other needed items for women. In November, the quilters will meet again to fill the bags in time for Christmas gift giving. Members and other PebbleCreek residents are encouraged to save small containers of hair products and other items that women need and enjoy. They can be dropped off in the Diamondback Room in the creative arts center at any time, please label the container and leave on the counter. Children connected with the New Life Center will be able to select bags to be given to their guardians for Christmas in December.
