Karen McCarty and Carol Weber, members of PebbleCreek Quilters, recently taught a Thread Painting Class. Thread Painting is a free motion sewing technique that uses a variety of colors and thread weights on top of a base or neutral fabric. Using circular, stippling, and back and forth stitches, students in the class learned to make lines, textures, and shapes. The class focused on landscaping, including trees and bushes, and explored how to use thread painting to create other motifs. Thread Painting is one of the many classes offered by PebbleCreek Quilters.
