PC Pool Players Wrap Up Fall I 8-Ball Tournaments

Jim Padgitt

PC Billiard Club members completed their first fall 8-Ball Tournament series with exciting matches held in the Tuscany Falls Billiard Room. The round-robin 8-Ball tournaments, played by PC’s best B-Class (average and above average skill levels) pool players, provided plenty of Monday afternoon drama.

For this 5-week season, Eagle’s Nest resident Al Vence registered his second series victory with a season total of 31 wins in 48 games, and two weekly tournament wins. For his championship effort, Al earned a local restaurant gift certificate to share with his wife, Linda.

Taking runner-up honors was Harold Erker, who tallied 22 wins in 40 games. Joe Armbruster and Jim Padgitt tied for third place with 21 wins for the season.

Other tournament players included Dan Saunders, Jim Sykes, Clay Beeson, Butch Schoen, Marv Schrock, Joe Davis, and Bill Frustaglia.

The Fall II edition of this B-Class tournament series kicked off Oct. 10. Tourney games are on Monday afternoons, 2 to 4 p.m. All PC B-Class players are invited to participate. No entry fee or charges are involved.
