From hurricanes to labor pains, there isn’t a situation so dire that a martini or a biscuit (or both) can’t remedy it.
That’s the credo of the five Southern women in the PC Players production, The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, being presented in October. Tickets for this hilarious and heartwarming comedy go on sale in a few weeks.
The Sweet Delilah Swim Club is the story of how these women met on their college swim team and remained fast friends for the next 50 years. Every August they get together for a long weekend at the same beach cottage on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where they eat, drink, and help each other through life’s many trials and tribulations. The play focuses on four of their most memorable reunions in which they tackle everything from motherhood to divorce to the challenges of aging.
The Sweet Delilah Swim Club will run from Tuesday, Oct. 21, to Saturday, Oct. 25 with all performances in the Renaissance Theater. The opening performance will be a matinee at 2 p.m. and the remaining shows will start at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale online at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22. To purchase tickets, go to the HOA website at pebblecreekhoa.org. You do not have to log in. Just click on “Things to Do” and then on “Ticket Sales.” You will find the link for the Players tickets about halfway down the page. All seats are $20 each, which includes the service fees. VISA and MasterCard are accepted.
If you would like some assistance with your purchase, please contact Marcia Hall-Brown at 505–321-9220 and she will be happy to help you over the phone.
The Sweet Delilah Swim Club is one of the most popular “laugh-out-loud” plays written by the comedy team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, and has been produced for audiences around the world. So, get ready for an evening of sidesplitting laughter and maybe a few tears when these five Southern ladies come to PebbleCreek and prove that good friends are a key to surviving and thriving the best of times and the worst of times.

New Dance Classes This Fall
New tap and jazz classes are coming to PebbleCreek starting in October. Whether you have studied dance in the past or are a beginner, these classes will be packed with lots of fun movement and upbeat music. They will also be a great way to meet new people.
Dance is a wonderful way to keep yourself healthy. It stimulates your brain with pattern work. The movement helps your muscles and joints stay mobile and it may lower blood pressure, which helps the most important muscle of all … your heart.
If you have always wanted to learn to dance, now is the time to join. There will be performing classes and non-performing classes offered. You decide what suits you.
So, dust off those tap and/or jazz shoes hiding in the back of your closet and come experience the joy of dance! For more information about class days and times, please call PebbleCreek Choreographer Karyn Horst at 623-535-0587.
Rehearsals Are Underway
Diane Piehl
The PebbleCreek Singers eagerly await Sept. 3 when rehearsals begin for the holiday concert, “A Joyous Holiday.” The music has been selected and the chorus is looking forward to again making harmonic sounds together. The summer hiatus is always welcome, but around July, everyone begins to wonder what the holiday concert will entail.
If you are interested in joining our musical family, please reach out to Virginia Baker at 623-248-6323 for more details. There is always room for additional singers, especially tenors, basses, and baritones!
Mark your calendars and save the dates for “A Joyous Holiday,” Dec. 3-6, 2025, in the Renaissance Theater.
