The PC Billiards Club Ladies division, tired of hearing all about their men’s counterparts playing matches against other associations’ teams, asked our travel co-ordinator, Dan Harris, to arrange a match against the ladies from CantaMia (CM). And so a spirited 8-ball match with the CM Billiards Club Ladies division was held on Oct. 21.We had seven ladies at the ready and CantaMia sent four players to represent their community. Our ladies represented themselves very well for their first forage into this type of event. The first eight matches were split 4 and 4 with Rochelle winning her two matches and Kathy and Deb winning one apiece. The second half didn’t go as well for our ladies as only Rochelle was able to earn a win and CantaMia won the other seven matches. The final tally was 10-5 in favor of CantaMia. Starring for CantaMia were Vickie, who won all four of her matches, and Judy, who went 3 and 1. A rematch was set for a date in November to be held at CantaMia.
