On December 13, 227 people attended the second annual IAC Holly Christmas Ball! It all began with kilt-clad greeters at the door, then to hostess smiles and candy canes! After entering, guests were met with cocktails and appetizers before entering a beautifully decked out ballroom for dinner and dancing!

For dinner, guests enjoyed their choice of either a stuffed chicken breast with whiskey cream sauce, or pork with a fruit compote and dessert consisted of a delicious display of cakes, shortbread cookies and vanilla ice cream! The cakes painted a picture of Irish pride, displaying six different symbols; the Claddagh, the Harp, a Map of Ireland, the Celtic Cross, the Trinity Knot and the Irish Flag.

The Thaddeus Rose Trio provided the music for the evening and, judging by the number of folks kicking up their heels on the dance floor, they were a big hit!

Every guest received a gift of a beautiful coffee mug decorated with the Gaelic phrase Happy Christmas (Nollaig Shona Duit) and holly! By the comments heard from guests after the event, a wonderful time was had by all.
