Six B hikers completed a very scenic but challenging loop hike in the Superstition Mountains on October 6. The hike started at the Peralta Trailhead, proceeded to Carney Springs and up steep slopes to the Superstition Ridgeline, then down through giant boulders to the Peralta Trailhead. The hike was only 7.3 miles but the level of difficulty was high, with over 2,100 feet of elevation gain in rugged terrain. The Hiking Club hikes five days a week during the regular season, September through April, with a hike for almost every level of fitness and challenges the Arizona summer with two exploratory hikes a week during the summer. Visit the club’s website at PCHIKERS.ORG for more information and pictures.
