Bart Alford awards check to Jan Cosgrove of SWVLA
The PebbleCreek Democratic Club outgoing President Bart Alford awarded Jan Cosgrove, President of the Southwest Valley Literacy Association, $1300 from the proceeds of the fundraising made in 2016 by the PCDC Community Benefit Committee at their January 4 membership meeting. The club appreciates the efforts of committee members Irene Manalili, chairperson, Chuck and Frankie Veltri, Ann Mason and Jan and Roger Race who worked very hard the past year doing projects raising funds for SWVLA. The funds awarded will help SWVLA continue to do their special work of teaching non English speaking adults to read, speak and write English which will last them a lifetime.
