As we start our new year we’ll be at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk selling 2018 memberships at $15 per person from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, January 9, 16 and 23 and Thursday, January 11 and 18 and at the door to the dance. Our membership entitles members to $5 off of dances and $10 off of dinner/dances.
Our first casual dance of the year will be on Friday, January 26 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom; music will be provided by DJ Michael Carrollo who plays keyboard and sings. He’s a regular provider of music at the two Sun City dance venues. This dance will be free for current 2018 members and $15 for non-members. Night starts at 6:00 p.m. with no-host cocktail hour and registration plus ticket sales for February dance with dancing from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Since we focus on ballroom dancing we hire bands/orchestras and DJs that play appropriate music for ballroom dancing; we also limit attendance to 200 allowing space for movement on the dance floor.
From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the January 26 dance will be our first date of sales for the February 23 semi-formal Black and White II dinner/dance in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Music for this dance will be furnished by The Terry McFee Orchestra who played for us last February. Tickets for this dance will be $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Menu selections will be Chicken Cordon Blue, Cranberry Orange Glazed Salmon or Vegetarian Stuffed Roasted Portobello.
