Be seen for your safety
As it gets hotter through the summer months our patrol notices a lot more walkers and bike riders out late at night or in the early morning hours. Visualexpert.com reports that pedestrians are 10 times more likely to be hit at night wearing dark cloths versus a reflective vest. This number increases by 60% if the driver is over 60. Visibility of a pedestrian improved from 150 feet (dark clothes) to 300 feet with light colors and a vest. So, please, for your safety and ours wear at least light colored clothing when out for that walk or bike ride.
