On May 7, 11 enthusiastic members of the PebbleCreek Sewing Club gathered with a shared purpose: crafting comfort and care for newborns. In just one morning, the group completed 27 charming receiving blankets, which will be donated to Abrazo Hospital for distribution to families welcoming new babies.
These sweet mitered-corner blankets featured cheerful prints and many were thoughtfully embellished with matching trim—adding a personal touch to each one. The monthly charity sewing session, held on the first Wednesday of each month, continues to be a highlight for club members. It’s not only a chance to give back, but also an opportunity to strengthen friendships and share a love for sewing.
As the season changes and some members prepare to leave for the summer, there’s a mix of sadness and anticipation. For those staying behind, the sewing studio offers a cool retreat from the summer heat and the perfect setting to learn new techniques or refine existing skills.
The PebbleCreek Sewing Club is proof that when hands come together with purpose, beautiful things happen—one stitch at a time.
