The annual PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association Member-Member tourney was played over three days, March 8, 9 and 16, utilizing both Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls courses. Some members say, “The same guys win every year!” Not this time. In review of last year’s results, no team was a repeat winner. The weather and golf course conditions were fabulous and the scores were low.
A total of 115 two-man teams competed in six flights with three flights playing from the blue tees and three flights playing from the white tees. Blue Flights 1 and 2 plus White Flight 1 played the Tuscany Falls/Eagle’s Nest/Tuscany Falls rotation. Blue Flight 3 plus White Flights 2 and 3 played the Eagle’s Nest/Tuscany Falls/Eagle’s Nest rotation. A scramble was the format for round one. One best-ball net was the format for round two. Two net-aggregate was the format for the third round.
A delicious lunch was served in the Tuscany ballroom after play on the final day. The annual PCMGA member meeting was then held to discuss pending issues. Officers for the 2017-2018 season were elected. Congratulations to Bud Held (president), Ed Stadjuhar (vice president), John Low (secretary) and Mike McMahon (treasurer). They take office on June 1.
