News from PebbleCreek Shalom Club – Passover Seder – April 23

Laurie Rosenbloom

What an exciting event! On Friday, February 26 over 110 people attended An Evening in New Orleans. The evening, sponsored by the Shalom Club, was such a festive night! Creative costumes were adorned, music played as people boogied on the dance floor. There even was a group of men and women enjoying themselves as they performed their line dancing routine. The night was filled with laughter, excitement and fun filled energy.

Following New Orleans’ tradition, a Kings Cake was served as dessert at each table. A figurine of a plastic baby was hidden in each cake. The baby symbolizes luck and prosperity to whoever finds it in his or her slice of cake. The finder of the baby is designated king or queen for the evening. It was a phenomenal time! Thanks to Judy Ruck and committee members for planning this event.

Next month the fun continues with Sports Day scheduled for Sunday, March 20. More information will follow in next month’s publication.
