Robson Reserve: Spring Cleaning and Downsizing
Jill Romo, Director of Sales and Marketing
Thinking about making a move to Robson Reserve but overwhelmed with downsizing? Try these tips for a smooth move.
Springtime is right around the corner, and with that comes change. The weather has already started changing from the chilly winter mornings to the breezy springtime days, flowers have begun blooming, and the housing market is hot, with houses selling very quickly. As we start looking forward to what comes next following this crazy year, there is one thing a lot of people are not looking forward to—spring cleaning and downsizing.
Organizing your space and decluttering can be made simple with a few steps, which I’m hoping will help readers who are working towards selling their house, or those who are simply just looking to redesign their living space. These top five tips will help you begin to declutter and organize your space.
1. Set aside time slots for decluttering.
Set aside time each day to get things done, maybe 10 minutes to a few hours each day. This will give you the mindset that this time is to go through my closet or this time is to go through and donate the things I haven’t used in a while.
2. Create piles when going through items.
When you start going through rooms in the house, decide what you want to happen to the things that you are sorting. The system I use is creating five piles: donate, give to a friend, toss, move to another room, think it over.
3. Use the 90-day rule.
Have you used or touched this item in the last 90 days? Are you planning on using the item in the upcoming 90 days?
4. Emotions tied to the item.
Think about what emotions are tied to the item, if any. Did you receive it from a close friend or family member? Does the item bring you joy? If you don’t have an emotional connection to the item, think about donating it or giving it away.
5. Take time to breathe.
Organizing and decluttering your household may seem overwhelming and like it will never end, but as our residents say, it is worthwhile once you’ve found your home in Robson Reserve.
Take your time and create a plan to declutter your space. It may seem overwhelming, but if you take it a step at a time, you can find a way to see the positives in organizing your home and making it yours.
Robson Reserve Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccine
Jill Romo, Director of Sales and Marketing
This last year has been one of the most challenging years for so many people. With quarantine, and after quarantine, it makes for a dark cloud over many people’s spirits. We have been challenged to be a ray of sunshine on the darkest days for our residents. We know that amidst this crisis, we may be their only link to the real world on any given day.
The team members at Robson Reserve at PebbleCreek have worked hard to keep their residents, guests, and fellow team members safe and happy in this crazy time. We have continuously been transparent with all residents, family members, and prospective residents on new policies, while following guidelines given to us by the CDC, as well as state and local public health departments. Any time there is a risk of potential exposure within our community, a letter is delivered to each resident, team member, and staff member to alert them of this. Anyone in the community who has had direct contact with someone who has tested positive has then been asked to quarantine for the recommended time.
Due to our residents’ patience and the hard work of our team, Robson Reserve at PebbleCreek received their first round of COVID-19 vaccines on Jan. 29, with a second vaccine clinic on Feb. 26, and a third vaccine clinic scheduled for March 26. Both clinics ran seamlessly, due to the hard work put in by our amazing team members, and we’re looking forward to completing our third clinic in the next few weeks. Over 90% of our team members and residents are now vaccinated, for which we are so grateful.
In this unprecedented time, we are grateful to our residents and their family members for their understanding and patience, as well as to our team members for their dedication and hard work through this past year of the pandemic. We continue to monitor the updates and restrictions coming from the CDC and from the state, as well as making changes within the community as necessary, while keeping our residents safe and happy. From those who have moved in with us during the pandemic, they wish they would’ve moved in sooner!
