The Shalom Club is excited to introduce new prayerbooks, Mishkan HaNefesh: Machzor for the Days of Awe, at this year’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, led by Rabbi David Rosenberg. (See accompanying article.) This 10-day period marks the start of the Jewish new year and are a time of introspection and atonement.
The new prayerbooks, first published in 2017 by the CCAR Press, offer meaningful liturgy for both regular service attendees and those new to Jewish spirituality and practice. With alternate readings for many of the traditional prayers, attendees can find passages that are particularly appealing to them.
High Holiday services will be held in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Rosh Hashanah services begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by a Kiddush. Kol Nidre services begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, and Yom Kippur day services begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21.
Tickets include all three services and the Rosh Hashanah kiddush. Cost for non-members and guests is $80 per adult and $18 for children 12 and under.
