Variety is the spice of life and one of the keys to improving your putting skills.
Each week, The PebbleCreek Putters Club offers its members a fresh new look at the Tuscany Falls practice putting green. The locations of the 18 practice holes are set by the Tuscany Falls golf staff; however, for Putters Club sessions, the club places a tee for each hole for members to start their putting. A totally unique putting course is created for each hole and for each session.
The variety increases the challenge and the enjoyment of putting. Club members Ken Hahn and Rene Lefebvre do the work of creating the new course by placing the tees each week in a different location. “We change the layout to increase competition,” says Ken. A creative new layout keeps the putting interesting. Ken is the club’s Parliamentarian and a member since its inception. Rene’s goal is to create different and challenging holes. He takes into consideration the length of the shot and how each hole may break differently. Rene has been a club member since moving to PebbleCreek a year and a half ago.
For special club events, such as the Member/Member Tournament, “hazards” are placed on the green. Rocks, sand and even miniature palm trees provide an added level of difficulty and a great amount of fun as members navigate around the “traps.”
If you’d like to improve your putting and enjoy a new challenge each week, come join us on the green.
The PebbleCreek Putters Club putts weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays all year long. You will find membership forms in the alcove at the Tuscany Falls Pro Shop, or please contact the Club’s Membership Chairperson Carol Hahn at [email protected] with any questions or for more information.
