New Patrol director named

Patrol Director John Singleton

Patrol Director John Singleton

The PebbleCreek HOA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of John Singleton as Director of Patrol, effective August 31.

Mr. Singleton brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience in Colorado and Arizona to our community. He is retiring from his position as a Goodyear Police Department patrol lieutenant to join the PebbleCreek HOA staff.

In discussing his new position, Mr. Singleton described the Patrol’s mission as “most importantly community service, providing whatever assistance we can to work with residents to prevent or solve problems.”

Mr. Singleton was also an adjunct law enforcement faculty member at Glendale Community College and an instructor in two Phoenix area police academies for nearly 20 years. He believes his teaching experience will prove valuable in helping the Patrol staff achieve the objectives endorsed by the recent resident focus group.

In addition to his eight years with Goodyear, Mr. Singleton previously served for 22 years as an officer and sergeant with Glendale Police where he participated in that department’s national CALEA accreditation process. He has served in patrol, investigation and training assignments during the course of his career. Mr. Singleton is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, an intensive, three month leadership course for senior law enforcement commanders.

HOA General Manager Bill Barnard received more than twenty applications for the position. “Mr. Singleton’s background in operations, training and management clearly made him our top candidate,” said Mr. Barnard. “He’s well acquainted with PebbleCreek and our challenges and will be an excellent addition to our staff.”
