A warm and heartfelt welcome to the 26 new members of the PCLGA: Valerie Bobigian, Nancy Bryant, Michelle Cattin, Kathi Curtis, Becky Deering, Nancy DerManuel, Andrea Dilger, Kathy Enegren, Judi Floyd, Sue Frens, Linda Gonshak, Carol Hokaj, Colleen Johnson, Kearin Kasper, Char King, Chris Morlan, Lea Morse, Carol Peterson, June Proznik, Carol Ratliff, Mary Rollins, Sally Savage, Layne Sheridan, Deb Smedley, Linda Thompson and Cathy Weaver. With the addition of these members the PCLGA now has 248 fabulous members.
PCLGA Membership Chairperson Sue White and her committee made up of Sharon Dawe, Ann Page and Maria Murray organized a reception held on January 19, 2017, at the home of Vice President Kathy Hubert-Wyss to welcome the new members to the PCLGA. It provided a special opportunity for President Barbara Patrow to introduce the new members to the Board members in attendance, explain some of the procedures followed by the association and answer any questions anyone may have had. Each new member introduced herself to the group indicating from where she came, when she joined and if she has had an opportunity to play on any Tuesdays thus far. The general consensus seemed to be joy to be with such an organized and welcoming group of ladies. Only 20 of the 26 new members were available to attend the reception, but please know that the PCLGA is extremely happy to have all 26 of you as part of our association.
Each Tuesday morning Sue White and/or Sharon, Ann and Maria are available near the sign-in table to assist new members (and often old members) in finding their golf partners that day. Look for the ladies with the red and white scarves around their necks and the smiles on their faces to help you at any time.
New members, you are in for a great experience of golf with an exceptional group of ladies. The goal is to have fun golfing and, hopefully, make some lasting friendships along the way. Thanks, new members, for enriching our association. We look forward to seeing you on the links. Anyone interested in joining the PCLGA may obtain forms in the Eagle’s Nest Pro Shop. It’s never too late.
