The popularity of the old world Italian game of bocce ball continues to be on the rise in PebbleCreek. The 2015-2016 Fall Season kicked off Tuesday night, September 29 under the lights on the new state-of-the-art bocce complex at Eagle’s Nest where a record number 64 teams will compete. This year, the PebbleCreek Bocce Association has expanded to four separate Leagues: Tuesday and Thursday nights and Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Mollie McErlean, Bocce Ball Association Treasurer, reports that early registration for the winter season is already underway and she expects that the number of teams competing will grow even greater once the snowbirds have returned.
Mollie advises those who missed fall registration to check the HOA website under Things To Do, Sporting Clubs, then Bocce where the 2015/2016 registration times and various events where prospective players can sign up for the winter and spring leagues are listed. Information also is available by contacting Mollie at 623-935-2822 or [email protected].
Registration forms for all four of the Winter Leagues are available in the Bocce Slot at the Community Information Kiosk located across from the Eagle’s Nest Pro Shop.
