The singles monthly membership meeting was held on Feb. 1. It boasted a full house to hear Michael Vickers, the newest PebbleCreek Director of Community Services, our special speaker who provided exceptional homeowner information.
Following Michael, we were pleased to have Shari Lauritano who is running for Goodyear City Council. She spoke about the many reasons she wants to be on the City Council. Wally Campbell is our City’s Vice Mayor and a member of the PebbleCreek Singles Club. Both Wally and Mayor Joe Pizzillo have endorsed her. Wally Campbell has been on the City Council since 2011 and because of term limits she cannot run again. During her time on the Council, she has represented the city in numerous committees, even in Washington, D.C.
In addition to our speakers, we were entertained by Bruce Kundin, a resident magician who has taught classes for LifeLong Learning. He had all the members learn a mind-boggling card trick.
Following the meeting a group of 17 went to Babbo’s Italian Grill, which offers a full line of contemporary Italian entrees, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and desserts. The food and camaraderie were both amazing.
