On January 13 the Men’s Christian Fellowship will be going to the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Emergency Shelter to serve noon meals to the homeless. Attendees will meet at the Tuscany Falls Fire Station parking lot 9:30-9:45 a.m. and then carpool together to the Mission to serve meals from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This continues to be a moving and worthwhile experience for Fellowship members. Any men residing to in PebbleCreek are invited to participate and those interested should contact Jeff Fischer at 935-2325 or email [email protected].

The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a Christ-centered non-profit organization founded over 60 years ago and provides meals up to three times/day to anyone who arrives at their door. Several hundred thousand meals are provided each year to men, women and families. The Mission also offers emergency shelter for men, women and children. In addition to emergency needs, the Mission provides a number of Christ-centered programs to help individuals overcome such on-going problems as addiction and homelessness.

On December 2, 24 members of the Men’s Christian Fellowship met for breakfast in the Eagle’s Nest dining room. After a welcome by vice president Ron Glynn, the attendees spent the next hour in a delightful time of fellowship. This provided an excellent opportunity to get to know one another better by discussing such topics as where one lived previously, work experiences, family, interests/activities enjoyed in PebbleCreek, and other personal items.

As the Fellowship will be doing an outreach program on January 13, no regular meeting will be held on January 6.
