Larry Gleason
On October 5 the Fellowship was pleased to have speaking at their meeting our U.S. Congressman, Trent Franks. Congressman Franks shared his personal testimony of his faith and witness for God as a Christian in the U.S. Congress. He co-chairs the International Religious Freedom Caucus and he, along with another congressman, hold a Bible study with about 75 attendees. Trent feels the United States is a gift of God to the world to spread the news of salvation. He pointed out that 51 out of 56 of those who formed the U.S. Constitution were Christians and that all persons were created equal by God for the pursuit of happiness and their rights.
Trent believes when our country follows our Constitution we flourish and when we don’t, we flounder. He also feels our Constitution could be in jeopardy in regards to the upcoming election, that our Constitution is most important, and that we must protect our country. He stated that our country’s success is important to the world’s future. The Fellowship was very appreciative of Congressman Frank’s interesting and insightful presentation.
