The Men’s Christian Fellowship of PebbleCreek (MCFPC) first gathering of the 2025-26 season is set for Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 a.m. In the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. The group of Christian men meets the first Wednesday of each month, October through May with special guest presenters focusing on an important or timely topic. Guests are always welcome. The special guest speaker will be Steve Elliot, former athlete and coach. He grew up in Oklahoma, in a family that valued athletics and hard work. His grandfather, George Elliott Sr., was involved in rodeo and is remembered in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. His father, George Elliott Jr., played professional football in Canada, earning a place in the NAIA Football Coaches Hall of Fame.

Following in their footsteps, Steve enjoyed playing several sports in high school and was blessed with the opportunity to attend the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship. He had the privilege of learning from coaches Frank Broyles and Lou Holtz. During college, Steve’s life took its most important turn when he became a Christian and it was through athletics that Steve would see his greatest opportunities for ministry.

After graduation, Steve began teaching and coaching at Jenks High School near Tulsa and had the joy of coaching football, tennis, and golf, and was fortunate to coach 12 state championships. One of his greatest privileges was leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle, which grew to be one of the largest in the nation. God has always been at the center of Steve and wife Ann’s family as they raised their two sons, Michael and John-Mark, and in September they welcomed their first grandson. Now living in PebbleCreek full-time, they are members at Desert Springs Community Church and also participate in Bible studies in PebbleCreek.

In addition to monthly meetings, the MCFPC also conducts weekly Bible studies throughout the year each Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. by Zoom and in person.
