The incoming elected Board of Directors include Judy Newell, president; Jackie Goupil, vice president; Polly Elliott, secretary; and Judy Garcia, treasurer. Their one-year terms commence on June 1, 2024.

PCLGA leadership for 2024-25 includes: Kathi Curtis, Vicki Norrie, Chanca Morrell, Barbara Chilton, Judy Newell, Jackie Goupil, Polly Elliott, and Judy Garcia.

This is Newell’s second term as president of the PCLGA (previously, 2014-15) and she has been a member of the PCLGA since she and her husband, Bob, moved to PebbleCreek in 2007. She has served as treasurer, handicap chair, sunshine “girl”, club photographer, and chaired the 2012-13 Member/Guest Committee. She was also captain of the Tuscany Cholla golf league.

“The PCLGA has given me so many happy memories, so I wanted to give back to the ladies that make our league so wonderful,” said President Newell.

Vice President Goupil has been a member of the PCLGA since she and her husband, Dean, purchased their home in 2017, and she has been instrumental in welcoming new members to the PCLGA for the past five years in partnership with Sue White. She has served in major tournaments including the Cancer Tournament and the Member/Guest Tournament. Jackie was very involved in leadership roles at both Red Mountain Ranch Golf and Country Club in Mesa, and Alto Lakes Golf & Country Club in Alto, N.M. Jackie loves to give back to charities involving and supporting women and families.

Polly and her husband, Steve, recently moved from Washington state to PebbleCreek after she retired as a registered nurse. This is her second season of being involved in the PCLGA. Secretary Elliott was an active member of the Rainier Golf and Country Club in Seattle for more than 30 years where she served on numerous boards and chaired major tournaments including Member Guest and Greens Committee.

Judy Garcia moved to Arizona in 2005 where she completed her 38-year career in retail management with Albertsons/Safeway where she mentored and supervised more than 144 stores. Since retirement, Treasurer Garcia has focused on spending quality time with her family, improving her golf skills, and assisting with the 2024 Senior/Super Senior Tournament.

The elected board will be assisted throughout the coming year by Kathi Curtis, parliamentarian; Chanca Morrell, tournament director; Barbara Chilton, Tuesday play chair; and Vicki Norrie, handicap chair.
