Mark Pelletier announces candidacy for HOA Board of Directors

Neighbors:

In July of 2006, my wife Sue and I quit our jobs, left our lifelong home of the Chicago area and moved to PebbleCreek to re-invent ourselves. It was a great decision!

PebbleCreek is a wonderful place to live. That’s due in no small part to the vision of Ed Robson, to twenty-plus years of sustained commitment by Robson Communities Inc., to diligent management by HOA Boards over the years and – to the 1.5 billion dollar commitment of homeowners. I wish to extend my part of that commitment by announcing my candidacy for the HOA Board for Directors.

My career was in Information Technology – management, programming and systems design and business systems analysis. With manufacturers and a logistics provider, I led the incorporation of computer systems as a tool to operate the business and worked with other managers to continuously evolve systems, processes and procedures to meet the changing needs of the organization.

How can that background benefit PebbleCreek? I observe, I analyze and I plan logically. Business analysis is not just about figuring out how to make processes work, but about how they might not work as well.

Before coming to Arizona I was a family and work guy but here I have immersed myself in the community. I now serve on the HOA Rules Compliance Committee and in the past have served on the Kare Bears Board and on an HOA advisory committee. Reporting on our community as part of the Channel 22 team familiarized me with the many, varied aspects of PebbleCreek life. In 2012 I was recognized as the PebbleCreek Volunteer of the Year. Outside PC, I serve as President of the Three Rivers Historical Society and am heavily involved with Scottish cultural organizations. Having also volunteered in multiple capacities with the City of Goodyear, I believe there is opportunity for more synergy between the PebbleCreek community and our city.

Why am I running? Well, I have no cause to champion or agenda to propose. I’m not running out of dissatisfaction, but rather with the belief that I can contribute ideas, effort and skills to help us meet the issues and challenges facing PebbleCreek as we grow and improve. I want to serve a larger role in the community and actively participate as we evolve to an even greater community.

In the course of my years here I have become very familiar with the multiple aspects of life here in PebbleCreek. I’ve even been to your house, since as part of my exercise routine I have walked every street in PebbleCreek. And I am the only resident who regularly attends the HOA Committee Chair meetings – which is an exceptional venue to keep informed.

I hope this has given you an introduction to Mark Pelletier. I invite you to learn more about me and about my thoughts regarding PebbleCreek at my website: mark4pc.com.
