It was cold and windy, and scores were close at the PebbleCreek Gun Club’s long-range rifle contest held Feb. 17. Members shot in three events: 100-yards with open sights, 100 yards with optics, and for the first time, 200-yards using optics.

Even with close results, one markswoman stood out. Tammy Wood shot a perfect score of 200 with 9 out of her 10 shots in the very center of the target. She followed up with another perfect score of 100, tying her husband, Scott. The tie was broken by the number of shots in the very center of each target. Scott took first place with 4 center shots and Tammy took second with 3. That’s some fine shooting!

Congratulations winners!
