It was a full house in Eagle’s Nest Ballroom on March 3 when LifeLong Learning (LLL) hosted the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (MCAO) three-hour community outreach about scams/fraud trends, prevention tips, and victim resources. Sue Roth, LLL’s director of trips, reported that 208 people registered to attend the free program.
Speakers representing five MCAO partners in fighting fraud—at city, county, state, and federal levels—offered insights, tips, websites and printed handouts to raise citizen awareness on how to avoid victimization and how to recover, if impacted.
