Speaker Shannon Tyree and President of the Singles Club Doug Krause

At our Sept. 13 PebbleCreek Singles Club meeting, our guest speaker Shannon Tyree shared practical tips on two valuable iPhone features—Siri and Medical ID—and explained how using them can make a real difference in everyday situations. Even if you don’t use an iPhone, the information was still helpful, since similar features exist on most devices.
Shannon previously taught a LifeLong Learning class on this topic, bringing clear, hands-on guidance you can use right away. Most singles brought their phones to follow along, and her use of a projector made it easy to see each step as she demonstrated the instructions.
Following the meeting, dinner reservations were confirmed at BJ’s Restaurant. Unfortunately, upon arrival we discovered a major timing mix up that made it impossible for all our members to be seated together. Several members chose to leave.
Even so, nine hungry souls stayed, settled in, and enjoyed a happy hour meal that—true to BJ’s reputation—was excellent. Despite the hiccup, those who remained shared good food, easy conversation, and plenty of laughs, proving that even a bumpy start can lead to a pleasant evening.
