Diane and Louis Larochelle recently hosted one of the August meetings for Le Cercle Français with 17 members attending. The Larochelles hail from the state of New Hampshire originally and speak French with a Canadian accent which is somewhat like the differences in accents one finds in spoken English in various regions of the U.S.

This month the club welcomed Susan Turner who has recently moved to PebbleCreek from Scottsdale. Susan, who studied French in college, is eager to re-acquaint herself with the language and practice with other people speaking French.

The club is open to anyone seriously interested in increasing their language skills and people may contact Deborah Legan at [email protected] for more information. The club meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged.
