Howie Tiger
Keith Tingelhoff made a hole-in-one on March 15 during the final round of the PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association Member-Member tournament. The warning about the “Ides of March” had no effect on him as he aced the fourth hole on the Palms course at Tuscany Falls.
Keith used his Big Bertha 7-iron to this par-3 which played 129 yards from the white tee. He was playing his first hole of the day in this shotgun-start event. Not bad for his first swing!
This was Keith’s third career hole-in-one. His first came in 2004 at the Lajitas Golf Course in Texas located right on the Mexico border. In fact, this course had a novelty par-3 hole where you shoot across the Rio Grande to a green in Mexico. We wonder if the planned Border Wall will make it a blind shot!
Keith’s second ace came in 2008 at Heritage Park Golf Course in Olathe, Kansas. He has been playing golf for over 50 years. He’s currently a 17 handicap and his career lowest handicap is 14.
Keith grew up on a farm raising cattle, pigs and chickens in West Point, Nebraska. He attended Wayne State. He spent his career in the meat business and climbed the ladder at Tyson Foods to become the VP of Production. He retired from Tyson in 2007. He and his wife, Evie, have been owners at PebbleCreek since 2002 and now split their time between here and Olathe, Kansas.
Since this hole-in-one occurred during a PCMGA event, Keith now joins Bill Anderson in the pool for the annual prize.
Congratulations to Keith!
