Kare Bears’ Korner – March 2024

Thank You, Source Book Volunteers!

Tracey Schryver

Last month the Kare Bears Source Book Committee lined Robson Circle just outside of the Kare Bears’ House to distribute the Source Book to delivery volunteers. The committee members led by Laurel Prom also included her husband Pat, Jerry and Jean Kopstein, Matt and Tracey Schryver, and Barbara Harvey. These committee members worked throughout the year to ensure everything went smoothly for the February delivery date. On delivery morning, the crew gathered along with a host of extra volunteers to hand out thousands of Source Books and community maps to over 170 delivery assistants. These special assistants then hand delivered each of the books and maps to homeowners’ front doors! This was a huge undertaking, and the committee members wish to thank all of those involved in making the 2024 Source Book and map delivery a huge success.

Share Bears Spotlight on Carolyn!

Carolyn Johnston

Nicki Forbes-Robinson

Meet Carolyn Johnston! Carolyn, one of our long-time members of Share Bears Bingo, moved to PebbleCreek 23 years ago and has been playing bingo for almost 20 years. Like several of our players, this charming nonagenarian (90 years young!) is a retired elementary school teacher and administrator having earned her masters at Wayne College in Michigan. Puzzles are Carolyn’s passion, and she enjoys using her computer and talking with friends, but she rarely misses her weekly outing to Share Bears Bingo where she connects with friends. One of the blessings in her life is her son, Brian, who moved in with her several years ago. Come join us and meet Carolyn!

Share Bears Bingo opens Fridays at 10:30 a.m. for coffee, with bingo games starting at 11 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. It’s light-hearted competition; all you need is $3 in quarters. For more information, call 949-289-5471.
