Thank you, volunteers

Sue White

Kare Bears wishes to thank our PebbleCreek community volunteers for their assistance in the delivery of the 2015 Source Books.

On a balmy Sunday morning in mid-January, veteran volunteers Rose Ann and Bob Cleland and Pam and Ted Wallace put their team to work. In less than 30 minutes two stations were set up and 190 boxes of Source Books were moved from the Kare Bears House to Robson Circle in front of the Kare Bears House.

At the first station, Carol Horan and Maureen Plate checked in the 80 Source Book delivery volunteers. Volunteers were provided with information specific to them and questions answered. These ladies kept an eye on traffic before directing volunteers to the second station where 4,300 Source Books were loaded into the volunteers’ cars.

Source Books that were not picked up, tables, chairs and debris were then transported back to the Kare Bears House. Approximately two hours later the entire project was completed.

The 80 delivery volunteers were instructed to deliver Source Books to the front door of the homes assigned. All Source Books were delivered within the week.

In addition to the above mentioned volunteers, Ed Schneider, Tom Bose, Tom Meek and John Kopier assisted with setup; thank you!

On behalf of Kare Bears, we could not have done this without all these wonderful volunteers and Arlis Legler who chaired this project!

Thank you all!
