Dr. McCauley to speak on women’s urologial health at June 18 meeting
Lipika McCauley, M.D. will be the guest speaker at the June 18 monthly Kare Bears meeting. She practices with the Valley Urologic Associates. She has extensive training in all areas of urology including stone disease, urinary incontinence, urologic oncology, female urology and minimally invasive urology such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Women’s Health can easily be broken down into two segments, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Dr. McCauley will speak on incontinence.
Dr. McCauley completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She went on to complete three years of molecular biology research at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, before entering medical school. She went on to graduate with a Doctorate of Medicine with honors from Eastern Virginia Medical School as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then relocated to Arizona to complete two years of general surgical residency followed by four years of Urology residency at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
June is also Kare Bears’ annual business meeting with election of new board members. The meeting will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Dr. McCauley’s presentation will follow the meeting. Light refreshments will be available prior to the meeting.
