Kare Bears’ Korner

Become a Kare Bear Coordinator

Don Belonax

In a community where many of us have our friends and relatives elsewhere, we may find ourselves in occasional need of some type of assistance. It is comforting to know there are people who care.

Would you like to be of service to your neighbors? A Kare Bear volunteer role does not take any skills but a genuine care for your neighbors, and training is provided!

Here are the major responsibilities:

• Send our Kare Bears monthly newsletters via email.

• Visit any newcomers with a Welcome packet that we supply.

• Visit those who are ill or had recent surgery, and bring them a Get Well packet.

• Notify Kare Bears of a death in your unit so we can provide a snack tray.

I was a coordinator for 15 years in Unit 51. I can honestly say this task would not interfere with your present lifestyle in PebbleCreek. Visiting your neighbors as a Kare Bear Coordinator will give you more time to get acquainted and develop a relationship with your neighbor that could last for a long time.

If you have benefited from our Kare Bear services, it’s time to give back. Please contact me by calling my cell at 925-708-0840 or email me at [email protected] so we can talk about this wonderful opportunity.

We know the saying, “It is better to give than receive.” There’s no one outside PebbleCreek who can fill this task but us.

We need coordinators in these Units: 1, 1A, 2, 3, 6, 15, 19, 23, 31, 32, 36, 39, 42B, 49A, 51, 58, 61, and 62A. (You do not need to live in the units listed.)

Thank you for your time.

Kare Bears Can Use Your Assistance

Are you looking for a way to be of service to your community that will not require a lot of your time?

Kare Bears has a deal for you. We are in the process of recruiting residents to assist in the distribution of the 2022 Source Book. If you helped us in the past, you will be contacted via a separate email to see if you are available.

Additional volunteers are needed, especially in the newer units and to replace long-time volunteers. If you would like to help, please send an email to Maureen Plate at [email protected] Be sure to include your name and telephone number. We cannot guarantee that you will deliver Source Books in your immediate neighborhood.

The distribution of Source Books to the volunteers will take place on a Sunday in mid-January 2022. That date is unknown at this time.

Updated information will be in the December Post, and in PebbleNews.
