Thank you, Source Book™ volunteers
Sue White
Kare Bears wishes to thank our PebbleCreek community volunteers for their assistance in the delivery of the 2017 Source Books.
On a Sunday afternoon in January, veteran volunteers Rose Ann Cleland and Pam and Ted Wallace, put their team to work. In less than 30 minutes two stations were set up and 200 plus boxes of Source Books were moved from the Kare Bears House to Robson Circle in front of the Kare Bears House.
At the first station, Sherry Atwater and Laura Measles checked in all Source Book delivery volunteers. Volunteers were provided with information specific to them and questions answered. These ladies directed volunteers to the second station, where 4,200 plus Source Books were put into the volunteers’ cars.
A special thank you to Bill and Susie Nee and Bill Priebe for stepping up at the last minute to deliver Source Books for two volunteers who were unable to do so.
The delivery volunteers were instructed to deliver Source Books to the front door of the homes assigned; no need to talk to the resident. The Source Books were delivered within the week.
After all Source Books were picked up, the tables, chairs and debris were transported back to the Kare Bears House. The entire project was completed in approximately two hours.
A special thank you to Arlis Legler for coordinating the delivery, timing and recruiting volunteers for this job. The Kare Bears Board appreciates your dedication to this annual project.
Great job, volunteers! Thank you!

Medicare seminar – March 24
Sue White
Kare Bears is excited to bring to you a free presentation on Friday, March 24 in the Chianti Room from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
Staying healthy as we age is very important. A better understanding of Medicare will help you maximize your benefits. Medicare costs and rules evolve and change each year. Often the consumer is unaware of changes until they are using their benefits for the first time in the new year. Learning the basics of Medicare can save you time, money and frustration.
Think of our Medicare presentation as a GPS to guide you through Medicare. The most important part of our time together is the question and answer session. We learn best from each other. Come join us and take advantage of our 22 years of experience helping people find peace of mind for their health.
