Just Folks has had an active calendar during the past six months. We celebrated the life of Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in January. The event was filled with music, drama, and service projects for our community. The May Backyard Barbecue at Sunrise Park was a huge success. Along with great food, members enjoyed the music of a live band. Much practical and useful information was provided at the Fraud and Scam seminar presented by AARP on June 9. Several members, with friends, honored the memory of ancestors with the celebration of Juneteenth at Westwind Tavern. Included in the celebration was a delicious Southern Style lunch.
Future events include a relaxing Sip and Swim and a Travel Seminar where you will get safety tips for global and domestic travel. Dates to be announced. All are invited to come and enjoy events hosted by Just Folks.
