In honor of Flag Day, Raceway Elks Lodge No. 2852 will be presenting our annual Flag Day Ceremony on June 13, in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom at PebbleCreek. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. The Flag Day ceremony is a tradition with the Elks which began in 1907. It is an educational ceremony to benefit everyone—youth, parents, families, veterans, and guests.
The history of our great flag will be presented in an educational format, complete with era pageantry. Eight flags from different eras will be presented and songs of each era will be sung.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) promotes patriotism and Americanism through involvement with youth, veteran, and other groups. BPOE contributes time and money to many educational and community-minded programs in Arizona and throughout the nation.
We look forward to seeing you there.
