The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is pleased to have Jody Kieran from Fallen Feathers in Peoria as guest speaker at our General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. We will meet at 3 p.m. in the courtyard of the Eagles Nest Activities Center. Jody will be bringing one of her long-time resident rescue pet birds for us to see. All PebbleCreek residents are invited to attend, whether club members or not. There is no charge.

Fallen Feathers is a bird rescue and rehabilitation facility. In addition to working with Arizona native wild birds and bunnies, they additionally take in exotic pet birds, such as macaws, parrots, parakeets, cockatoos and cockatiels as a rescue. The Pet Companions Club works in conjunction with Fallen Feathers. When a PebbleCreek resident contacts us about an injured or ill bird, or a baby bird or bunny that needs help, we first determine if that bird can be saved or not. If the bird can be saved, then the bird is transported to Fallen Feathers for rehabilitation. Pet Companions is looking to recruit more volunteers who are willing to transport birds and bunnies to Fallen Feathers for us.

Fallen Feathers is a nonprofit organization. They are actively seeking volunteers to help at their facility. They appreciate donations, and you can also help to fund their facility improvement project.

As always, a donation box will be available at the meeting for petrelated items such as: pet toys, pet food (check expiration dates), leashes, collars, cages, blankets, etc. Those items not used for our PebbleCreek rescues will be donated to other local animal rescues. Additionally, you may send donations to The Pet Companions Club through the mail to PO Box 6106, Goodyear, AZ, 85338, or through our new Zelle account at [email protected]. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donations are tax deductible. We use those donations to rescue cats and dogs in our PebbleCreek community.
