Mutts On A Mission is a local 100 percent volunteer, non-profit therapy dog organization. We volunteer in local schools with the R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) program and visit local libraries in the Paws for Reading program. In addition, we visit local hospitals, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, local memory care units and Copper Springs Behavioral Health.
We will be conducting a training seminar on November 17 and testing for therapy dog registration on November 18. If you have a dog that needs a job, please call us today to schedule an interview to learn if your dog is ready for testing, 1-844-FUR-HUGS (387-4847).
Qualifications: You must have owned your dog for at least six months, they must be 18 months or older and less than 10 years of age. If your dog has had obedience training or passed a Canine Good Citizens test they are a good candidate for this program.
Salary for dogs: Lots of lovin’ and attention. As a bonus they can earn treats!
