PebbleCreek (PC) Billiard Club members have wrapped up summer billiards action with an 8-week 8-Ball tournament played in a demanding round-robin format.
Former South Carolinian Jim Padgitt earned the Grand Championship title by racking up 46 8-Ball game wins and a total of 57 points. (One point for each game won, plus 3-point bonus for each weekly mini-tournament victory.)
For his victory, Jim earns a discount gift card to share with his wife Sandy at Goodyear’s popular BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse on McDowell Road.
Notching second- and third-place tourney finishes, respectively, were Jim Sykes (41 wins, 50 points) and Gary Weaver (37 wins, 37 points). Other competitors include Mike Finnegan, Harold Erker, and Joe Browner.
8-Ball tournament play convenes in the PC Billiard Room on Mondays at 2 p.m. To join the PC Billiard Club, pick up membership information at the Billiard Room on the west side of Tuscany Falls Clubhouse, just down the hallway from Renaissance Theater entrance lobby.
