Jim Padgitt, Joe Armbruster Win 8-Ball and 9-Ball Tournaments

PebbleCreek Billiard Club members have completed their Spring series of 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournaments in the PC Billiard Room. Both are major 8-week tournaments played in a demanding round-robin format.

This season, Jim Padgitt earned the 8-Ball Grand Championship title by winning 57 games and a total of 72 points. One point is awarded for each game won, plus a 3-point bonus for each weekly mini-tournament victory.

Notching second and third place finishes in the 8-Ball event, respectively, were Marv Schrock (46 wins, 55 points) and Harold Erker (42 wins, 45 points). Other 8-Ball tourney competitors include Jim Sykes, Mike Finnegan, Clay Beeson, Gary Weaver, Chuck Johnson, Lee Anderson, and Joe Armbruster.

As 9-Ball Grand Champion, Joe Armbruster earned his Spring tournament victory with 60 game wins and 69 total points. Runner-up was Marv Schrock (49 wins, 55 points) with third place honors going to Jim Padgitt (49 wins, 49 points). Additional 9-Ball players include Clay Beeson, Bill Wise, Mike Finnegan, and Chuck Johnson.

8-Ball tournament play convenes in the PC Billiard Room on Mondays at 2 p.m. 9-Ball tournaments are played Thursdays at 9 a.m. To join the PC Billiard Club, pick up membership information at the Billiard Room on the west side of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse, just down the hallway from Renaissance Theater entrance lobby.
