Jim Ellison is the third guest in our PebbleCreek Voices interview series, and you’re in for a treat!
Many folks in PebbleCreek know Jim as the president of the Pet Companion Club, where he and his wife, Marge, continually demonstrate their passion for animals. They moved to Eagle’s Nest from the Chicago area during the early days of PebbleCreek and brought with them a long history of rescuing dogs. They actively continued their rescue work in the West Valley when they settled here. After the Pet Companion Club was established, Marge stepped up as vice president, and when Jim retired from a successful aviation career, he joined the club and has been a driving force ever since.
Jim’s fascinating story starts with his father’s service in World War II. He then shares memories of his childhood in rural Minnesota and his college years at the University of Minnesota, where he attended on a Navy scholarship. The conversation then takes us through his experiences as a fighter pilot in Vietnam and his subsequent aviation career.
The interview continues with many highlights from the incredible work that Jim and Marge have done with various rescue agencies and explains how the Pet Companion Club has become such a treasured asset in our community.
Jim and Marge have given so much to PebbleCreek, and I believe you’ll be as moved as I was, listening to Jim recount their journey.
