Jill Christensen Named “Self-Made Woman to Watch” by MSN

Jill Christensen

PebbleCreek’s Jill Christensen was named one of 10 “self-made women” to watch by MSN in July, an honor that resulted in her phone ringing non-stop in the weeks that followed. In introducing the article, MSN noted “these women are not using their lineage or someone else’s work to pave their way; instead, they are overcoming adversity, taking strategic risks, and building businesses where none had existed before.”

Jill worked her way up from the lowest level of management to the corner office of Fortune 500 companies and was surprised at the dysfunction she found at every level of Corporate America. Grateful for the education and experience, she knew there had to be a better way, and launched her business in 2009.

Marrying her knowledge of what employees want in a workplace with the latest employee research, she became one of the most in-demand and highest-rated female speakers, thanks to her ability to take audiences on a journey and inspire them to act.

Her proven method to redefine what’s possible in the world of work helps leaders transform culture, which in turn drives higher productivity, retention, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. A Six Sigma Green Belt, Jill has generated millions in revenue speaking and helping organizations improve performance, earning a reputation as both a successful entrepreneur and catalyst for transformation.

Named a Top 200 Global Thought Leader to Watch, she has inspired audiences worldwide. Her first book is a global best-seller, and her popular blog was named a Top 100 Corporate Blog alongside Apple and Microsoft (jillchristensenintl.com/blog). Her second bookabout engaging remote/hybrid workersdebuted during the Covid pandemic.

This fall, Jill is expanding her influence by debuting an online webinar and workshop. “I can only travel and lecture live so many times a year,” she said. “However, I can help meet the demand for more knowledge by offering online options for a variety of workplace problems, such as the fear caused by AI and how to have difficult conversations. My prime motivation is to help leaders create workplaces where people thrive.”

Jill, who moved to PebbleCreek in 2023, shortly thereafter built a casita for her retired IBM father. Growing up in several states, she experienced firsthand the benefits and drawbacks of frequent moves—as IBM was known as “I’ve Been Moved.” Those experiences also taught her to embrace—and even love—change.

Jill loves pickleball (weather permitting), gardening, and mah jongg. She hopes that spending more time working remotely will provide additional time for these hobbies, and dating.

Her webinar about tips to become a top 10% AI user and workshop about how to handle difficult conversations with ease and confidence will debut in mid-September.
