Winter hours are now in effect at the Gallery for your shopping convenience Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
With colder weather upon us, it’s time to snuggle up with a good book. This year, the Meet the Authors (PebbleCreek authors) book expo is scheduled for Wednesday, October 10, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The authors are anticipating meeting you in the Creative Arts Center and providing readings from their works. The Gallery will be open extended hours throughout the event to accommodate your shopping needs. Buy a book, or two or three (think gift items, folks), have an author sign the work, then purchase a special card in the Gift Shop and a bookmark or two or three, to keep your place during the busy winter season.
The very popular PebbleCreek Artists Holiday Fest is scheduled for December 1, but to participate and present your craft items for sale you must submit a participation agreement by October 15. All documentation required to become a consignor and to sell at the Fest is available in the Gallery during business hours.
Welcome back to the snowbirds. As you enter the refreshed Creative Arts Center, stop and admire the crafts presented in the new étagère dedicated to the memory of Shirley Smith, a devoted supporter of our artisans. She was also a gifted painter and her charming painting of pandas is displayed alongside the étagère.
Outside the Gallery are unframed displays of drawings by many PC artists. Included in the wide array of work are encaustic paintings, created by use of an ancient wax art process. A visit to the Gallery is a little bit fun and a little bit education. Best of all, the Gallery is exclusively a gift shop.
On display this month are stylish fingerless gloves for cold morning golf starts. After the game, you may want to serve up a snack on a new glass bottle-shaped tray, including one of grey goose vodka. If that gives you chills, we have another new item, decorated square tissue boxes.
The choice of items in the Gallery is remarkable. Consider another American Girl gift, anything from a petticoat to a wedding ensemble and all the honeymoon items, too.
Not to box you in with the choices of gift items, consider a sturdy fabric zipper tote or a paper gift box complete with attached card.
