Save the date! The Women’s Giving Circle of PebbleCreek is excited to introduce Date With a Plate to PebbleCreek. The event will take place Thursday, Jan. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Chianti Room.
Perhaps the most common recipe these days is “microwave for 3 minutes.” Eaten in comfy clothes in front of a TV screen, there is something irresistible about the easily cleaned up modern meal from a cardboard box. But meals can also be an invitation to gather with friends and family. Date With a Plate is an opportunity to celebrate meals shared, lingered over, and remembered by viewing table settings designed by PebbleCreek residents.
The event will feature 10 expertly decorated tables set up in the Chianti Room. Participants will enjoy viewing the elegant tables and lingering over light refreshments while meeting up with friends and neighbors. A cash bar will be open.
In addition, a silent auction of handmade home decor items created by over 30 PebbleCreek artisans will be offered.
A limited number of tickets will be available and sold at the Eagle’s Nest kiosk in early December. Tickets will be a minimum donation $20 check or cash to Agua Fria Food Bank. 100 percent of the proceeds from both ticket sales and the silent auction will benefit this wonderful non-profit that addresses hunger in the West Valley.
Thank you to Mary Flynn for organizing our first member-hosted Happy Hours last month. It provided a fun way to meet up with our members. As a reminder, if you haven’t paid your 2022-23 dues yet, please do so by Jan. 1.
