Bob Marchese
Bill and Jan Frustaglia hosted president Ken Minichiello and 30 members of the PebbleCreek Italian American Club at Pizzicata Restaurant in Glendale for the April president’s luncheon. The restaurant’s inviting atmosphere has a small banquet room with a baby grand piano bar to the left of the entrance. A nicely muraled dining room with another bar welcomes patrons on the right side. Separating the rooms is a large pizza oven in the open kitchen where you can view chefs preparing your favorite Italian entrees.
Conversation and camaraderie was lively as everyone enjoyed their entrées from caponata to calamari, various individual pizzas, pesto pasta, wild boar, lasagna, and a variety of pastas, all homemade on site. The entire staff was very proficient and professional. It was a most enjoyable luncheon. Be sure to put Pizzicata on your short list of must–visit Italian restaurants.
Every month the club has a members’ luncheon at a conveniently located restaurant. With Goodyear’s surrounding area’s growth there are plenty of new venues to explore and savor the wide variety of multi-cultural dishes. It doesn’t have to be Italian food, just a warm place to gather, converse, and celebrate good friends, good food, good vino, and good life, because Italians don’t eat to live; we live to eat!
Anyone is welcome to join the PebbleCreek Italian American Club (PCIAC). We have many activities, from seasonal aperitivos, monthly social hours, Springtime Signature gala, our annual Poinsettia Ball to several themed socials. Contact president Ken Minichiello at kenminichiello@gmail.com or visit the club website at pciacaz.org.
