Irish American Club members enjoy tour of Ireland

Suzanne Rambach

Two groups of 32 people each went on a trip of a lifetime with a customized 16 day tour of Ireland, sponsored by the PebbleCreek Irish American Club. The club is fortunate to have Sam McKinstrey, a travel consultant veteran, who loves Ireland and wanted to share his love by developing a tour originating and ending in Dublin. We saw ancient castles, cathedrals, cliffs, cemeteries and the causeway. We toured the Guinness Storehouse, the Titanic Museum, The House of Waterford, The Belleek China Factory, Foynes Flying Boat Museum and the Jameson Distillery. We rode a horse-drawn jaunting car through Killarney National Park, took a boat ride in Ireland’s only fjord, toured the streets of Belfast and saw a sheepdog demonstration. We enjoyed quaint pubs, singing and dancing, wonderful restaurants and fabulous hotels throughout Ireland. We even stayed overnight in a castle – a fairytale come true! Of course, we spent time at Blarney Castle – we had to kiss the Blarney Stone and walk the beautiful grounds! Are you considering a trip to Ireland in the near future? Why not book a tour to see the sights? There are a number of coach trips that make stops at popular locations such as the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. Head to galwaytourcompany.com to learn more. This country is rich in history and beautiful scenery and we all were welcomed with open arms. We have a renewed sense of true history, we made some friends and we are very grateful this opportunity came our way.
